In early August 2020, the Federal Minister of Health granted an exemption under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act(CDSA) on compassionate grounds to four terminally ill Canadians to use psilocybin in their end-of-life care.
Psilocybin (magic mushrooms) represents a reasonable medical choice and a more effective treatment for many patients suffering from end-of-life anxiety, depression and distress.
During this past year, I have been participating in training with TheraPsil so that I can offer psychotherapy to clients as they journey through their own therapeutic psilocybin experiences. I have my first client this fall, and honestly, I am grateful for the unique gift of being alongside this individual.
On September 21, 2022, I will be part of a panel discussion at the Toronto screening of DOSED 2: The Trip of a Lifetime which will be hosted by Sanjay Singhal of the Nikean Foundation; and featuring Joe Flanders, Vice-President, Practitioner Training, Numinus; and Warren Duncan, CFO Filament Health.
If you are interested in finding out more about the individual experience of Psilocybin Assisted Psychotherapy and hearing from leaders in the field during the panel discussion, you can purchase tickets below:
